PAYOUT POLICY
BANK PAY U PARTNER PAYOUT POLICY
Last Updated: 2 September 2026
This Partner Payout Policy forms part of the BankPayU Partner Program Terms and Conditions. It sets out the general eligibility conditions, minimum loan amounts, payout processing conditions, lead attribution rules, and payout reversal or clawback conditions applicable to eligible Partners.
BankPayU facilitates loan sourcing and related partner services. BankPayU does not itself approve or sanction loans. Loan approval, sanction, disbursement and other lending decisions remain subject to the policies, documentation requirements, eligibility criteria and final decision of the concerned bank, NBFC or other lending institution.
1. General Payout Eligibility
Payout shall be released only after successful disbursement of an eligible loan transaction.
Submission of a lead does not by itself create a right to receive a payout.
The Partner must comply with the BankPayU Partner Program Terms and Conditions, this Partner Payout Policy and the applicable product-specific payout conditions.
The loan must be sourced through an eligible BankPayU Partner channel and must satisfy the applicable lender and BankPayU requirements.
Payout shall be calculated on the basis of the amount actually disbursed, and not merely on the amount requested or sanctioned, unless a specific product policy expressly provides otherwise.
Where a loan is sanctioned for a higher amount but a lower amount is actually disbursed, the applicable payout shall be calculated on the lower actual disbursed amount.
Where a loan is disbursed in multiple tranches, payout eligibility and calculation may be determined on the applicable disbursed amount and product-specific payout terms.
The existing BankPayU product policies similarly provide that payout is linked to successful disbursement and the actual disbursed amount.
2. First-Submitted Lead and Lead Uniqueness
Payout shall generally be payable only to the Partner who first submits the eligible lead through the BankPayU portal, subject to successful verification and all applicable payout conditions.
If the same customer or loan requirement is subsequently submitted by another Partner, the first valid submission shall generally receive lead priority.
Lead uniqueness shall remain valid for six months from the date of submission, unless a different period is expressly specified for a particular product or lender.
Multiple Partners shall not be entitled to separate payouts for the same eligible loan transaction.
If the Partner has submitted and verified the lead and the referred customer avails the applicable loan within the applicable uniqueness period, the Partner may remain eligible for the payout subject to all other applicable conditions.
This six-month uniqueness and first-submission principle is carried through the existing product payout policies.
3. Minimum Loan Amount for Payout Eligibility
The following minimum loan amounts shall apply for payout eligibility, subject to the applicable product-specific conditions.
| Loan Product | Direct Connect | Lead Connect |
|---|---|---|
| Home Loan | ₹30 Lakhs | ₹30 Lakhs |
| Home Loan Balance Transfer / Takeover | ₹30 Lakhs | ₹30 Lakhs |
| Loan Against Property | ₹30 Lakhs | ₹30 Lakhs |
| Loan Against Property Transfer / Takeover | ₹30 Lakhs | ₹30 Lakhs |
| Personal Loan | ₹3 Lakhs | ₹3 Lakhs |
| Car Loan | ₹5 Lakhs | ₹10 Lakhs |
| Education Loan | ₹10 Lakhs | ₹20 Lakhs |
| Business Loan | ₹5 Lakhs | ₹5 Lakhs |
| Term Loan & CC Limit | ₹50 Lakhs | ₹50 Lakhs |
| SCO / Shop / Commercial / Industrial Property Purchase Loan (NRP / Non-Residential Property Purchase Loan) | ₹30 Lakhs | ₹30 Lakhs |
For Personal Loan, the existing product policy specifies a minimum eligible loan amount of ₹3 Lakhs.
The existing policies also specify ₹30 Lakhs as the minimum threshold for Home Loan, Home Loan Takeover, LAP and LAP Takeover products.
4. Direct Connect
Direct Connect is the self-handled loan proposal channel under the BankPayU Partner Program.
Under Direct Connect, the Partner is required to handle the applicable loan sourcing and proposal-related activities as permitted under the relevant bank/NBFC arrangement.
For Direct Connect proposals, the Partner must use only the DSA Code provided or enabled through BankPayU for the applicable bank/NBFC.
The Partner must not claim, submit, report or seek the payout for the same transaction through another channel partner, manager, intermediary or other sourcing channel of the same Corporate DSA.
If a Partner submits or reports the same transaction through another channel of the same Corporate DSA, BankPayU may treat the transaction as ineligible for payout or determine payout eligibility based on the actual lender attribution and applicable arrangement.
The Partner must follow the applicable bank/NBFC’s DSA and sourcing requirements in addition to BankPayU’s requirements.
Direct Connect may carry different minimum loan amount requirements from Lead Connect for certain products, as specified in Section 3.
5. Lead Connect
Lead Connect is the BankPayU-assisted loan sourcing channel under the Partner Program.
Under Lead Connect, BankPayU may handle or assist with subsequent activities relating to the customer’s loan journey, subject to the applicable product and lender arrangement.
The Partner must provide accurate and genuine customer and loan information while submitting the lead.
The Partner must cooperate with BankPayU and the concerned lender where additional information, confirmation or assistance is reasonably required.
Lead Connect may carry different minimum loan amount requirements from Direct Connect for certain products, as specified in Section 3.
6. Direct Connect and Lead Connect: Loan Amount Difference
The distinction between Direct Connect and Lead Connect in relation to the minimum eligibility thresholds is a loan amount difference, and not a statement that one program automatically carries a higher or lower payout percentage.
The applicable payout amount or payout slab shall be determined separately in accordance with the relevant product, lender arrangement and applicable BankPayU payout terms.
7. Personal Loan Payout Policy
Payout shall be released only after successful disbursement of the eligible Personal Loan.
The first valid Partner submission shall generally receive lead priority, subject to the six-month lead uniqueness period and other applicable conditions.
Personal Loan proposals shall generally be eligible for payout only where the applicable loan amount is ₹3 Lakhs or above.
Payout shall generally be released within 45 days after successful disbursement, subject to the conditions in this Policy.
Payout shall be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
For example, if the Partner submits a Personal Loan requirement of ₹20 Lakhs but the customer actually receives a disbursement of ₹10 Lakhs, payout shall be calculated on ₹10 Lakhs and not ₹20 Lakhs.
The existing Personal Loan policy expressly uses the ₹3 Lakhs threshold, 45-day period and actual-disbursement basis.
8. Home Loan
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹30 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement.
Payout shall generally be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
For construction-linked transactions, payout may be calculated according to the applicable tranche-wise disbursement.
Where the lender requires Permission to Mortgage, lien marking, registry completion or another post-disbursement condition before the payout can be processed, payout may be held until the applicable requirement is completed.
Home Loan proposals relating to village or red-line properties shall not be eligible for payout where the applicable product policy excludes such properties.
Payout may not be available where the customer already has an applicable existing relationship with the same bank and the lender does not pass on the relevant payout under its sourcing arrangement.
The existing Home Loan policy contains the ₹30 Lakhs threshold, actual-disbursement basis, village/red-line exclusion and Permission to Mortgage condition.
9. Home Loan Balance Transfer / Takeover
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹30 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement.
Payout shall be calculated on the actual amount disbursed by the new lender.
If the customer takes a lower disbursement than the submitted or sanctioned amount, payout shall be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
Payout may be delayed where Permission to Mortgage, lien marking, registry or another applicable requirement remains pending.
Home Loan Takeover/Balance Transfer proposals relating to village or red-line properties shall not be eligible for payout where the applicable product policy excludes such properties.
Payout may not be available where the customer has an existing relationship with the same bank and the lender does not pass on the payout under its applicable arrangement.
The existing Home Loan Takeover policy provides for the ₹30 Lakhs threshold, 45-day processing period, actual-disbursement basis and Permission to Mortgage condition.
10. Loan Against Property
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹30 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement.
Payout shall be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
Payout is applicable to LAP in the form of a term loan, subject to the relevant lender/product arrangement.
LAP OD, Drop Line OD and similar products shall not carry payout unless expressly specified by BankPayU for the relevant product.
LAP proposals relating to village or red-line properties shall not be eligible for payout where the applicable product policy excludes such properties.
Payout may not be available where the customer has an existing relationship with the same bank and the lender does not pass on the payout under its applicable arrangement.
The existing LAP policy specifies the ₹30 Lakhs threshold and limits payout to applicable term-loan structures, excluding LAP OD/Drop Line OD unless separately offered.
11. Loan Against Property Transfer / Takeover
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹30 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement.
Payout shall be calculated on the actual amount disbursed.
LAP Transfer/Takeover payout shall generally apply to eligible term-loan structures and not to LAP OD/Drop Line OD products unless expressly specified.
Village and red-line properties shall not be eligible for payout where excluded by the applicable product policy.
Payout may not be available where the customer has an existing relationship with the same bank and the lender does not pass on the payout under its applicable arrangement.
The existing LAP Takeover policy provides the ₹30 Lakhs threshold, actual-disbursement basis and term-loan limitation.
12. Car Loan
Minimum eligible loan amount for Direct Connect: ₹5 Lakhs.
Minimum eligible loan amount for Lead Connect: ₹10 Lakhs.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement and shall be subject to the applicable Car Loan payout slab and lender arrangement.
Payout shall generally be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
Any lender-specific exclusions or additional conditions applicable to the Car Loan product shall also apply.
13. Education Loan
Minimum eligible loan amount for Direct Connect: ₹10 Lakhs.
Minimum eligible loan amount for Lead Connect: ₹20 Lakhs.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement and shall be subject to the applicable Education Loan payout slab and lender arrangement.
Payout shall generally be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
Any lender-specific exclusions or additional conditions applicable to the Education Loan product shall also apply.
14. Business Loan
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹5 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement.
Payout shall generally be calculated on the actual disbursed amount.
Where the sanctioned amount and actual disbursed amount differ, the applicable payout shall be determined on the actual disbursed amount.
The earlier Business Loan policy used a ₹3 Lakhs threshold, but the applicable minimum under this updated Policy is ₹5 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect. The underlying policy principle of successful disbursement, six-month lead uniqueness and actual-disbursement-based payout is retained.
15. Term Loan and CC Limit
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹50 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement or utilization, as applicable to the relevant lender/product arrangement.
The applicable payout shall be determined according to the relevant product payout slab and lender arrangement.
Any lender-specific conditions relating to sanction, disbursement, utilization, documentation or other requirements shall apply.
16. SCO / Shop / Commercial / Industrial Property Purchase Loan
Also referred to as NRP / Non-Residential Property Purchase Loan.
Minimum eligible loan amount: ₹30 Lakhs for both Direct Connect and Lead Connect.
Payout shall be linked to successful disbursement.
Payout shall be calculated on the actual amount disbursed.
If the customer applies for ₹1 Crore but the lender sanctions ₹80 Lakhs, the applicable payout slab shall be based on ₹80 Lakhs.
If ₹80 Lakhs is sanctioned but only ₹50 Lakhs is actually disbursed, payout shall be calculated on ₹50 Lakhs.
For construction-linked property purchases, payout shall generally be calculated according to the applicable disbursement tranche.
Where Permission to Mortgage, registry completion or another lender-required condition is pending, payout may be held until the applicable requirement is completed.
Village or red-line properties shall not be eligible for payout where excluded under the applicable product policy.
Payout may not be available where the customer has an existing relationship with the same bank and the lender does not pass on the payout under its applicable arrangement.
The existing NRP/SCO/Shop/Commercial/Industrial property purchase policy provides for the ₹30 Lakhs threshold, actual-disbursement basis, construction-linked treatment and Permission to Mortgage condition.
17. Payout Processing and 45-Day Period
Payout shall generally be processed within 45 days after successful loan disbursement, subject to fulfilment of all applicable payout conditions.
The 45-day period shall be subject to PDD clearance, where applicable.
The payout may also remain pending until lien marking and/or Permission to Mortgage has been completed where such requirement is applicable to the transaction.
Where registry, lien marking, Permission to Mortgage, PDD clearance or another lender-required condition remains pending, the payout timeline may begin or be completed only after the relevant requirement is fulfilled.
BankPayU shall not be responsible for delays caused by the lender, authority, builder, tehsil office, registrar, customer or any other third party beyond BankPayU’s reasonable control.
The existing property-related policies specifically provide for delay where Permission to Mortgage or registry-related requirements remain pending and provide for payout processing after completion of such requirements.
18. Payout Calculation Based on Actual Disbursement
Payout is not calculated merely on the amount entered by the Partner while submitting the lead.
Payout is generally calculated according to the actual amount disbursed by the lender.
For example:
| Amount | Example |
|---|---|
| Loan amount submitted by Partner | ₹1 Crore |
| Amount sanctioned by lender | ₹80 Lakhs |
| Amount actually disbursed | ₹60 Lakhs |
| Payout calculation basis | ₹60 Lakhs |
The applicable payout slab shall therefore correspond to the amount eligible under the relevant product policy and actual disbursement.
This principle is expressly present in the existing Personal Loan, Business Loan, Home Loan and property-related payout policies.
19. PAYOUT REVERSAL / CLAWBACK BY BANK OR NBFC
19.1 Lender-Specific Reversal Conditions
A bank, NBFC or other lending institution may, under its applicable sourcing/DSA arrangement, payout policy or other applicable terms, reverse, reduce, revoke, claw back or recover a payout previously released in connection with a loan.
Such reversal or clawback may occur in circumstances including, but not limited to:
early loan takeover;
balance transfer;
foreclosure;
prepayment;
early closure;
cancellation; or
another event specified by the relevant lender.
The applicable reversal period and amount may vary from lender to lender and product to product.
For example, a particular lender may provide for a 50% or 100% payout reversal if a loan is taken over or otherwise exits the lender’s books before completion of a specified period such as 6 months, 12 months, 15 months or another period prescribed by that lender.
The exact reversal period, percentage and applicable conditions will be disclosed on the relevant BankPayU loan-product page wherever such lender-specific conditions apply.
19.2 Partner’s Obligation to Reimburse BankPayU
Where BankPayU has already paid a Partner a payout and the relevant bank/NBFC subsequently reverses, reduces, claws back or demands repayment of that payout from BankPayU, the Partner agrees to reimburse BankPayU for the amount actually reversed, reduced, clawed back or demanded from BankPayU in respect of that Partner’s transaction, subject to the applicable Product-Specific Payout Policy and these Terms.
BankPayU may provide the Partner with written notice of:
the reversal/clawback;
the amount required to be returned; and
the relevant reason or basis communicated by the lender, where reasonably available.
19.3 Three-Month Repayment Period
The Partner shall return the applicable amount to BankPayU within three (3) months from the date of BankPayU’s written notice.
The Partner may contact BankPayU within that period where the Partner believes that the reversal has been incorrectly attributed or calculated.
19.4 Failure to Repay
If the Partner fails to return the applicable reversed or clawed-back amount within the three-month period, BankPayU reserves the right, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, to initiate appropriate legal proceedings and/or other lawful recovery action for the outstanding amount.
BankPayU may also seek recovery of any legally recoverable costs, interest or expenses associated with such recovery.
BankPayU may suspend further payout processing or restrict Partner account functionality where reasonably necessary in connection with an outstanding lender clawback or recovery amount, subject to applicable law.
19.5 No Automatic Reversal Merely Because of Customer Status
A payout shall not be reversed merely because a Partner is also a Loan Seeker or because the Partner has personally availed a loan.
A reversal under this Section shall arise where:
the relevant lender has actually reversed, reduced, clawed back or demanded repayment of the underlying payout; or
another expressly applicable payout condition permits such reversal.
20. Existing Bank Relationship
A payout may not be available where the customer already has an applicable existing relationship with the same bank and the lender does not pass on the relevant payout under its sourcing arrangement.
This may include an existing savings account, current account, existing loan account or another relationship where the relevant lender treats the customer as an existing customer for payout purposes.
BankPayU may, where possible, explore another eligible lender for the customer where the original lender does not provide payout for such existing relationships.
This condition is reflected in the existing product payout policies.
21. Payout Is Subject to Lender and Product Conditions
Every payout is subject to the applicable bank/NBFC arrangement.
A lender may have product-specific exclusions, documentation requirements, sourcing rules, clawback conditions, customer-category restrictions or other conditions.
Where a lender’s applicable terms conflict with a general provision of this Policy, the applicable lender-specific condition may determine payout eligibility for that particular transaction.
BankPayU may update product-specific payout policies from time to time.
Partners should refer to the relevant BankPayU product page and applicable payout conditions before submitting a lead.
22. No Guarantee of Loan Approval or Payout
Submission of a lead does not guarantee loan approval, sanction or disbursement.
Submission of a lead does not guarantee payout.
Payout becomes payable only when all applicable eligibility, attribution, disbursement and other conditions have been satisfied.
Loan approval, sanction, pricing, documentation, disbursement and other lending decisions remain with the concerned bank/NBFC or lending institution.
23. Accuracy and Genuine Leads
Partners must submit genuine loan requirements.
The Partner must provide accurate information to the best of their knowledge.
The Partner must not knowingly submit duplicate, fictitious, manipulated or misleading leads.
BankPayU may withhold or reject payout where the transaction is found to involve inaccurate information, fraudulent activity, duplicate submission, misrepresentation or violation of applicable Partner Terms.
24. Changes to Payout Policy
BankPayU may revise payout rates, minimum loan amounts, eligible products, lender-specific conditions, exclusions, processing conditions or other provisions of this Policy from time to time.
Product-specific payout pages may contain additional conditions applicable to particular loans or lenders.
The Partner is responsible for reviewing the applicable payout conditions before submitting a new lead.
25. Relationship with Partner Terms and Conditions
This Partner Payout Policy forms part of the BankPayU Partner Program Terms and Conditions.
The Partner Terms and Conditions shall continue to apply to all matters not specifically addressed in this Policy.
In the event of a lender-specific payout condition, the applicable lender condition may govern the relevant transaction to the extent applicable.
The payout reversal and clawback provisions contained in this Policy shall apply together with the applicable provisions of the Partner Program Terms and Conditions.
26. Final Payout Principle
The basic principle applicable to Partner payouts is:
Eligible Lead + Valid Attribution + Successful Disbursement + Applicable Product Conditions + PDD/Lien/Permission Requirements, where applicable = Payout Eligibility
Payout shall be released according to the applicable BankPayU payout slab and the actual eligible disbursed amount, subject to lender-specific conditions and any applicable reversal or clawback provisions.
